In addition to the standard Caulking Irons, we make and stock bigger Making Irons and Double Crease Irons. These are usually for large M.F.V.'s and Baltic Boats.
These irons are for big ships such as Baltic Traders and working boats where seams are up to 1" wide. The irons have been made on the large size purposely. With an angle grinder and a polishing wheel on a bench grinder they can be altered to suit individuals. This is quite normal as in olden days the blacksmith in the Yard was often asked to produce an iron to suit vessel on the slip.
Made in EN8 Tool Steel.
